Measuring Instructions

When measuring for a wood screen door, be sure to measure the exacct spot where the screen door will be attached. Typically, it is hung on the brick molding which should measure approcimately 1". Measure your door opening height (H) from the top to the bottom of your doorway and the width at the op (W1), at the center (W2) and at the bottom (W3) of your doorway.

Standard door size measurement is 35 3/4" x 80 3/4" which allows for hinge insallation and wood expansion/ contraction. This standard door can be installed into opening width measuring 35 7/8" to 36 1/8" without triming any wood from the stiles of screen door. Length 80 3/4" bottom of the door can be trimmed to fit opening.

Hinge installation:

Option 1. Hinges can be flat mounted to door and flat mounted to brick molding.

Option 2. Hinges can be mortised into door and flat mounted to brick molding.

Option 3. Hinges can be mortised into door and mortised to brick molding.
